About Us
Devdanya Farmers Producer Company Limited, affectionately known as “Devdanya” (God’s Grain), serves as a vital bridge between agriculture, sustainable livelihoods, and the empowerment of women farmers. Established with the vision of transforming agriculture, Devdanya is dedicated to uplifting small and marginalized farmers by integrating production, processing, and marketing efforts, with a particular focus on neglected and underutilized crops. The company is driven by the ethos of promoting sustainable practices, enhancing the economic stability of farmers, and contributing to the overall well-being of rural communities.
Owned entirely by small-scale producers, Devdanya represents the collective voice of the farming community, focusing on value addition and innovative marketing of agricultural products. The company partners with Women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to create and market a diverse range of value-added products, helping these groups evolve into agripreneurs. Through training, capacity building, and market linkage programs, Devdanya supports women farmers in enhancing the quality and marketability of their agricultural produce.
At Devdanya, our commitment extends beyond just farming—we strive to revolutionize agriculture with a focus on sustainability and empowerment. By promoting traditional farming practices, preserving indigenous seeds, and advocating organic farming techniques, we foster an agricultural ecosystem that benefits farmers, the environment, and consumers alike. Our seasoned team of professionals works tirelessly to bring about a positive change in the lives of farmers, enabling a thriving agricultural sector that embraces innovation, knowledge sharing, and sustainability.
Our Journey
Devdanya FPC began in 2022 with a simple yet powerful idea: to give farmers control over their future by building fair markets for traditional crops like millets and pulses.
What started with a small group of committed farmers has grown into a strong, women-inclusive community enterprise. Along the way, we’ve partnered with seed banks, trained producers, and built local networks that connect sustainable agriculture with real market opportunities.
Every step forward is rooted in our mission: to bring value back to the land, to the crops, and above all — to the farmers.
From seed to market, our journey is just beginning.
Our Objectives
At Devdanya FPC, our mission goes beyond seeds — we’re building a model for sustainable, farmer-owned growth.
Since our creation in 2022, we have remained profitable, with a steadily growth, and ambitious goals for the future. But our vision doesn’t stop there.
We aim to expand our reach across India, connecting with new markets and farmer communities in multiple states. But also, strengthen our partnerships with distributors already helping us reach beyond Karnataka and reinforce our model of fair, inclusive, and sustainable trade that places farmers — especially women — at the heart of every decision.
Step by step, we are proving that traditional crops and farmer-led innovation can build a better agricultural future — for India and beyond.
Our vision and mission
To create a fair, inclusive and sustainable agricultural future where smallholder farmers thrive, and underutilized crops like millets and pulses are valued for their role in nutrition, biodiversity, and climate resilience.
To empower farmers as stakeholders by ensuring full ownership and participation in the value chain.
To revive and promote traditional, climate-smart crops through market access, fair pricing, and community-led growth.
To build strong, farmer-driven supply chains that connect local production with conscious consumers, institutions, and new markets.
